Topo Map

As you requested, here is a topographical map of the Mississippi land. The contour lines are at 20 foot intervals. I have added a blue line approximating the boundaries.

  • That looks pretty good from here. I make a creek on the north ridge with the irt road being the western boundry, which I didn't see on the overhead. That draw north east of the cemetary looks like it might be a good lpace to sell the timber out of, subdivide from the rest of the lot and build on if we are so inclined; although, were the dirt roads meet just north of the 600 marker may be good as well. You know I haven't talked to Emmitt in a while but my recollection is he was making good money sell trees on his land; so, it may be possible to recoup a lot of the costs and clear a spot to build at the same time, assuming of course that we choose to persue that course.

  • Also, are those intervals 20 feet or 20 meters?

  • The contour lines are at 20 feet. The 600 elevation that the dirt road/western boundary runs along is 600 feet above sea level.

As for the timber, your grandfather has reserved the timber rights on the land for his life.
